Lucas Palacio wins 2025 WSK Super Masters Championship in OKNJ
A testament to SimCraft driver development
VITERBO, Italy – At just 11 years old, Lucas Palacio has etched his name in the record books, clinching the WSK Super Masters Championship in OKNJ and becoming SimCraft’s first champion of the year. His victory at Viterbo adds to SimCraft’s expanding championship count, now standing at an impressive 78.
Palacio’s journey to the title was a test of resilience. Last season, an untimely injury forced him to miss a round, costing him the WSK Championship in the Mini category. This year, the challenge was different but no less daunting. Battling a persistent fever of 101.6°F for three days, Palacio pushed through, showing remarkable determination to secure both the race win and the championship.
His latest triumph caps off an intense nine-week campaign across Italy, a journey his father, Nicholas Palacio, reflected on in a heartfelt social media post:
Five races, four two-day tests, and two trips back and forth to the UK for Williams activities. He won here at Viterbo today and locked the WSK Super Masters Championship at barely 11 years old in OKNJ… This one means a lot, and it is so great to end the trip like this. Thanks to everyone as always!

Lucas exemplifies what it means to be a champion, doing whatever it takes. He showed some incredible grit to go out there and win despite his illness. His determination is inspiring, and we are honored to be a part of his continued development.

Palacio’s success is not just a personal milestone—it also adds to SimCraft’s client win tally, with his victories at Orlando Kart Center (U.S.), La Conca, and Viterbo (Italy) contributing three of the 27 wins recorded so far this year.
Lucas Palacio: The trajectory of a champion
From SimCraft Driver Development Ambassador…
Lucas Palacio’s rapid development as a racing driver has been significantly enhanced by his use of the SimCraft APEX GT racing simulator. As a SimCraft Driver Development Ambassador, Lucas received his APEX GT in December 2023, utilizing its high-fidelity motion simulation to refine his skills and prepare for real-world racing challenges.

The APEX GT is renowned for its true seat-of-the-pants sensation, closely mimicking the physical demands of actual racing. By replicating real-world racing scenarios, Lucas has been able to improve his car control and train for high-pressure competition. This immersive technology has played a crucial role in his standout performances, including his first X30 Junior category victory during Race 2 of the SKUSA Winter Tour and a dominant 2024 European campaign, where he finished 2nd in the WSK Super Master Series and 4th in the Italian National Karting Championship.
…To Atlassian Williams Racing Driver Academy
Palacio’s dedication and ability to translate simulator training into on-track success caught the attention of top teams. Just less than a year after receiving his SimCraft APEX GT, on October 18, 2024, Lucas was signed to the Atlassian Williams Racing Driver Academy, marking a major milestone in his career.

Now, just months into 2025, he has already cemented his place among the best young drivers by becoming the WSK Super Masters Champion in OKNJ. With this championship under his belt, Palacio’s trajectory in motorsports looks brighter than ever! Could Lucas Palacio be headed to F1?
