Indianapolis, IN  – The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum (IMS Museum), currently undergoing an $89 million renovation, has chosen SimCraft to provide six state-of-the-art motion simulators as part of its revitalized visitor experience. This decision reflects SimCraft’s unmatched expertise in motion simulation, its commitment to realism, and its unique position as an American manufacturer working directly with racers and race teams.

The newly upgraded IMS Museum, reopening in April 2025, will feature SimCraft’s GRID1 simulators, including the world’s first ADA-accessible motion simulator. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the thrill of the Indianapolis 500 through highly immersive simulations that incorporate advanced yaw motion technology.

The GRID1 simulators bring together a host of industry-leading partners to deliver a fully immersive experience. LG Electronics is providing cutting-edge displays, iRacing is contributing the virtual race environment, and MPI and Gomez Sim Industries enhance the tactile realism with high-performance steering wheel components.

The IMS Museum’s renovation, the first major update in nearly 40 years, aims to reimagine the visitor experience with interactive storytelling and STEAM-focused educational initiatives. The project is on track to establish the IMS Museum as a global destination for motorsport enthusiasts and learners alike.

SimCraft’s rich history in the simulation space and our direct connection with racers and race teams made us a natural fit for this project. As an American company dedicated to precision and authenticity, we are honored to be a part of the IMS Museum’s transformation, providing visitors with an unparalleled, inclusive racing experience.

When we evaluated our options, SimCraft’s reputation for a hi-fidelity and authentic racing excellence, combined with their direct involvement in motorsports, set them apart. Their technology aligns perfectly with our vision of offering dynamic, educational, and accessible experiences that celebrate the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s legacy.
