SimCraft brings digital track development to life at APEX Motor Club

Before a single inch of asphalt is laid, SimCraft technology brings track designs to life—transforming 3D concepts into a dynamic, living experience. This ensures every corner, straight, and elevation change delivers the best possible driving feel before construction even begins. But the impact goes beyond design. It’s a game-changer for membership acquisition, allowing prospective members to drive the track with true-to-life realism before it’s built. This immersive experience builds excitement, confidence, and commitment well ahead of opening day.

Track Design Refined on SimCraft APEX6 Full Motion Racing Simulator Before Construction

Kennesaw, GA – SimCraft, a leader in professional motorsport simulation, joined forces with APEX Motor Club to revolutionize race track design through advanced digital simulation. Before paving began, a digital version of APEX’s latest track, designed by legendary track builder Bob Barnard, was created by Driven International Ltd.  The digital version of the track enabled interactive driving of the track layout, leading to enhancement of the design through four iterations to maximize performance and driving experience. This cutting-edge approach signifies a transformative shift in civil engineering within the motorsports industry.

Leveraging SimCraft’s state-of-the-art simulation technology, APEX Motor Club meticulously refined their track design by virtually testing and enhancing it through four distinct iterations. This innovative process allowed drivers, engineers, and stakeholders to experience the track in a fully immersive environment, providing critical feedback and ensuring that each iteration addressed performance issues and optimized the driving experience. This pioneering collaboration not only ensures a superior track before breaking ground, but also sets a new standard for integrating technology and engineering, promising safer and more dynamic racing environments.

Flyover APEX Motor Club Phase II

“SimCraft was instrumental in the development of our second circuit. By creating the circuit in simulation prior to moving dirt, we were able to take our Motorsports Services International design and drive it prior to spending tens of millions of dollars first. Being able to drive it and fine tune the smallest details, not only ensured the final product was perfect, but also have the opportunity to fine tune to perfection. SimCraft was an important part of that final process, which after completion of construction, was exactly what we wanted and were expecting!”

“Our team is extremely proud to have been a part of this process. Witnessing Jason and Matt’s vision, taking Bob Barnard’s legendary design, and interactively driving the digital conversion on the SimCraft APEX6 was eye opening. After driving and making multiple changes to the Phase II layout of the APEX Motor Club, being able to see those final changes come to life on the Arizona canvas is just another way that SimCraft technology can be used.”

This groundbreaking partnership between SimCraft and APEX Motor Club exemplifies how advanced simulation technology is redefining motorsport engineering. By merging virtual precision with real-world application, they have not only optimized track performance but also demonstrated the immense value of simulation in modern civil engineering. As APEX Motor Club moves forward with construction, the result will be a track that delivers an unparalleled driving experience—one born from innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence.
